AI Training and Data Usage Policy
How submitted images and descriptions may be used for AI, analytics, and dataset improvement.
AI Training and Data Usage Policy
This policy explains how uploaded animal images, diagnostic images, feed images, clinical case details, and related information may be used for veterinary research, artificial intelligence development, dataset creation, product development, and animal health technology improvement.
Purpose of AI Data Use
The platform may use submitted animal images and related information to create animal health datasets, train AI models, test AI models, validate AI models, improve disease detection tools, develop diagnostic support systems, and build animal health technology products.
Types of Data Used for AI
Data used for AI development may include animal images, disease images, feed images, wound images, skin images, eye images, hoof images, dental images, udder images, X-rays, ultrasound images, pathology images, lab-related images, case descriptions, animal details, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment details, follow-up information, and submission metadata.
Contributor Consent for AI Use
By uploading images and related information, you agree that the submitted data may be stored, reviewed, cleaned, anonymized, labelled, annotated, analyzed, processed, and used for AI model training, testing, validation, evaluation, research, product development, and commercial animal health technology applications.
AI Model Training
Submitted data may be used to train veterinary AI models that can learn patterns related to animal diseases, body regions, feed quality, clinical signs, diagnostic categories, image quality, disease severity, and other animal health-related features.
AI Testing and Validation
Submitted data may also be used to test, validate, benchmark, and improve AI models. This helps check whether the models are accurate, reliable, safe, and useful across different animal species, breeds, locations, disease types, and image conditions.
Dataset Development
Uploaded images and information may be organized into datasets for animal health research, AI development, image classification, detection, segmentation, disease monitoring, decision-support tools, and veterinary technology development.
Labelling and Annotation
Submitted images may be labelled, categorized, annotated, corrected, reviewed, or verified by authorized platform administrators, veterinary reviewers, data quality reviewers, AI teams, or research partners. Labels may include species, disease type, body region, severity, diagnosis confidence, image quality, and other veterinary information.
Anonymization Before AI Use
Where possible, personal or identifying information may be removed, hidden, masked, or restricted before data is used for AI development. This may include owner names, phone numbers, addresses, human faces, GPS data, clinic identifiers, image metadata, and other private details.
Commercial AI Use
You understand and agree that AI models, datasets, insights, tools, software, diagnostic support systems, and animal health technology products developed using submitted data may be used for commercial purposes by the platform operator and its authorized partners.
Research and Collaboration
Submitted data may be used for internal research, external research collaborations, academic studies, technology development, dataset quality improvement, veterinary publications, product validation, and animal health innovation, subject to privacy, anonymization, and applicable data-sharing controls.
Data Sharing for AI Development
Data may be shared with authorized veterinary reviewers, AI developers, software teams, research partners, cloud service providers, data quality teams, and technology partners when required for dataset creation, model training, testing, validation, research, security, or product development.
No Direct Personal Sale
We do not sell user personal information to advertisers. Data may be processed, anonymized, aggregated, or used in datasets and AI systems for veterinary research, product development, and animal health technology applications as described in this policy.
Data Quality and Rejection
Not all uploaded data will be used for AI training. Images or information may be rejected or excluded if they are blurry, duplicated, fake, copied, AI-generated, misleading, wrongly labelled, irrelevant, privacy-risky, corrupted, or unsuitable for veterinary AI development.
Bias and Dataset Balance
The platform may review submitted data to improve dataset balance across animal species, breeds, age groups, locations, body regions, disease categories, disease severity, image types, and contributor types. Some submissions may be prioritized or excluded to improve dataset quality and reduce bias.
No Guaranteed Diagnosis
AI development activities on this platform do not guarantee diagnosis, treatment advice, emergency veterinary support, or consultation. Any AI-based tool or output should not replace advice from a registered veterinarian.
Limitations of AI
AI models may make mistakes and may not work equally well for all animals, diseases, breeds, locations, image types, or clinical conditions. AI outputs, if provided in the future, should be treated as supportive information and not as final veterinary medical advice.
Data Retention for AI
Submitted data may be retained for as long as needed for dataset integrity, research, AI model development, testing, audit, product improvement, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and platform operation. Anonymized or processed data may be retained for longer periods.
Deletion and Withdrawal Requests
You may contact the platform operator to request deletion of your account or submitted data. Some data may not be fully removable if it has already been anonymized, included in datasets, used for AI model training, retained for audit purposes, or required for legal, security, research integrity, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Contributor Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that submitted data is real, original, animal-related, accurate, and uploaded with proper permission. You should not submit fake, copied, AI-generated, duplicate, misleading, or privacy-sensitive content.
Policy Updates
This AI Training and Data Usage Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in platform features, AI development practices, research collaborations, commercial use, legal requirements, or data governance practices.
